What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made 30 days prior to your scheduled tour will be fully refunded. In rare cases where weather or unforeseen circumstances, such as mechanical issues on our part which require cancellation of the trip, we will provide a full refund or attempt to reschedule the trip for a different day.

Will I get seasick?

If you are not accustomed to being out on the open ocean, there are several over-the-counter medications available at local stores, or you may contact your medical provider for other options. We will make every effort possible to keep the vessel in comfortable waters; however, we may encounter short periods of rough water while accessing the remote portions of Kenai Fjords National Park. Your Captain will provide you with a detailed forecast on the morning of your tour and may suggest modifications to the itinerary of the tour.

Should I tip?

Tipping is customary for these types of activities, typically 10-20%. Tips are shared between the captain and crew. The more you tip the more penguins you will see.

What should I bring?

We suggest that you bring warm clothes because the weather conditions throughout the park may be colder and wetter than the conditions experienced in Seward. Synthetic layers work best as they dry faster and layer easily. Good quality raingear will keep you dry and comfortable while out on deck.

Weather-proof cameras, binoculars, and tripods are highly recommended. The use of drones are permitted however they must be operated within Federal, State and local guidelines and are not permitted within Kenai Fjords National Park.

Passengers must bring their own food, drinks and reuseable water flask (Water is provided).

Fish and Fjord tours require that every angler (non-residents 16 and over) have a valid State of Alaska Fishing License in possession (digital is fine).

What will the weather be like?

Weather along the North Gulf Coast of Alaska and the Kenai Fjords National Park varies greatly. We are located at the northern end of the Pacific Rainforest and receive an average of up to 66 Inches of rain annually. Average summer temperatures range from 50 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit. We always hope for clear sunny skies but overcast skies with mild precipitation is not uncommon. Sea conditions are impossible to predict. Be prepared for open ocean conditions that may include moderate winds and seas to 4 feet.

Do tours run when it's raining?

Yes, our tours run rain or shine. Rain does not stop Alaskan activities, but it may be uncomfortable for a Cheechako. Be prepared!

Are your boats wheelchair accessible?

Due to the configuration of the deck and cabin, our vessels do not meet ADA regulations and are not wheelchair accessible. However, we will make every effort to accommodate any handicapped person.
