Located along Alaska’s north Gulf Coast (Lat. 60.1048° N, Lon. 149.4421° W), our weather can change quickly — sometimes by the hour. Average summer temperatures range from 50-70F. While we always hope for clear, sunny skies, overcast conditions and light rain are fairly common.
Sea conditions are unpredictable and can vary from calm to choppy with winds and swells up to 4 feet. Please come prepared for open ocean travel, and if you’re prone to motion sickness, we strongly recommend taking sea-sickness medication in advance, as directed by the manufacturer.

Alaska’s coastal weather is famously unpredictable, sunny one moment, misty & rainy the next, so the key to staying comfortable is dressing in layers.
Pack a mix of moisture-wicking base layers, insulating mid-layers like fleece or wool, and a waterproof outer shell. Avoid cotton, which doesn’t dry quickly and won’t keep you warm when damp. A good rain jacket is essential, and you’ll be glad to have a warm hat and gloves handy, especially in early or late summer. For sunny days, a ball cap and sunglasses will come in handy.
